Your Support Makes the Difference

As a volunteer healthcare provider, your role within the Champions for Health network is vital to our vision, goals and success. Without your volunteer services and expertise, we would not be able to achieve our vision of improving health and changing lives of those currently without access to care.

How You Can Volunteer

Join more than 600 volunteer specialty care physicians and other healthcare providers in leading the efforts towards changing lives. Contact Andrew Gonzalez, Volunteer Coordinator, at Andrew Gonzalez for more information about any of the opportunities below.

Provide Medical Services in Your Office

Provide pro bono specialty medical services in your office through Project Access San Diego. We make it easy for your and your office team to provide much needed medical care to uninsured, low income adults in our community. For more information, contact Andrew Gonzalez, Volunteer Coordinator.

Provide Physician-to-Physician Consults

Provide specialist-to-primary care physician consultations through eConsultSD. You set your hours and login on your time to provide your consultation to primary-care physicians in-need. For more information, read the information sheet for specialists or the information sheet for primary care providers.  To sign up to either submit or answer eConsults, contact Andrew Gonzalez, Volunteer Coordinator.

Participate in a Saturday Surgery Day

Volunteer at a Saturday Surgery Day at Kaiser Permanente or other outpatient surgery center. Help us to reach out to a surgery center at which you are credentialed. Check Events for upcoming Surgery Days.

Assist with Preventive Care

Assist with flu immunizations, clinical breast exams, mobile mammography, blood pressure screenings and colorectal cancer screenings.  We are particularly in need of health professionals able to give flu vaccinations this fall and blood pressure readings during the February 13, 2015 Love Your Heart Day.  Contact Andrew Gonzalez for more information.

Make a Financial Contribution

Your contribution helps improve individual health and the overall wellness of the community. With your support we continue to improve access to care, community and physician wellness and support to physicians and the growing medical community through our successful programs.

Join our Health Champions Council, a special group of concerned and generous healthcare professionals that will receive a wide range of recognition and benefits for your on-going support.
